Description Synthetic, glycopepMuc5AC (UniProt ID P98088) is a gel-forming glycoprotein produced by the goblet cells in the tracheobronchial surface epithelium. MUC5AC-Tn(12) is a synthetic 16 amino acid glycopeptide fragment and tandem repeat sequence of MUC5AC (Gly2449-Pro2464) where O-glycosylation (GalNAc) is at amino acid Thr-12 (Thr2460 in protein). The C- terminus is an amide.tide Mucin-5 peptide fragment from Gly4221 to Ala4235. Pro was added on C-terminal to make an analogue of MUC-5 (16 AA in total). The MUC5AC gene, which is mainly expressed in gastric and respiratory mucosae, exhibits 8 amino acid tandemly repeated domain, TTSTTSAP.4 O-glycosylation Ī±-GalNAc is at position Thr4232. The C- terminus is amide.
